Karley Kay Dobson Wins Pete Fraizer Memorial!!!
Tuesday, 14 October 2008

Karley Kay Dobson, 14 year old driver of an '08 Stallard, from Hulbert, Oklahoma, made a clean sweep at the 9th Annual Pete Frazier Memorial at Port City Raceway, becoming the first female to ever win the title (in any class).  Friday night, Karley started second row outside of the 3rd heat and went on to win. Her heat race win put her on top of the leader board in passing points and qualified her to start on the pole in the 25 lap "A" main qualifier.  She led until lap 20 when lap traffic allowed the #88 of John Whisman to pass her.  Karley remained patient, waiting for the perfect opportunity to regain the lead.  With three laps to go Whisman got caught up in lap traffic, hit an infield tire and Karley once again took the lead.  A caution came out on lap 23, allowing the #10 of Darien Roberts, to move ever so closer.  After the white flag, going into turn one, Roberts made one last attempt to pass Karley by diving underneath her, unfortunately, there was no place to go but into the side of Karley’s car.  However, Karley held on to the #28 Stallard and went on to win, thus securing her spot, along with five other of the top finishers, a position in the dash for cash and Saturday night’s “A” Main Event.  Saturday night began with the Dash for Cash with Karley starting on the pole.  After a re-start due to a wreck, Karley made her way to the finish line again, thus, winning the oh so sweet pole position for Saturday’s “A” Main Event.  Karley led every lap of the 30 lap feature, with only one caution coming out on lap 24.

Congrats to Karley from everyone at Stallard Chassis!!!!
